CloudForest

CloudForest is the GSB’s managed cloud offering for compute resources. CloudForest allows you to launch personalized machines in the cloud, without the hassle of learning how to be a cloud engineer or system administrator. It may be a good option if your project requires extensive dedicated computing resources, or if you require custom configurations, such as machines with GPUs, that may not be available on shared systems.

If you think CloudForest might be a good fit for your project you can go here to submit an instance request, and you can always reach out to DARC at gsb_darcresearch@stanford.edu with questions about how CloudForest can benefit your research.

Before using CloudForest, we recommend researchers first attempt to utilize other available resources. Effectively using HPC resources can pave the way for using supercomputers and clusters around the world that are freely available for academic usage and represent hundreds of millions of dollars of investment.
