Introduction to the Yens

Learn about GSB research computing servers, the Yens. If you need bigger computational resources than your laptop, learn about the yen cluster available for no cost for the GSB faculty, post-docs, PhD students and research fellows. Learn how to access the Yens, transfer files, and run software like Python, R, SAS, and MATLAB via the Linux command line interface and web-based JupyterHub. Intermediate Yens

Learn about how to access and run high performance jobs via the Slurm scheduler on Yen-Slurm with a typical Optical Character Recognition (OCR) python project pipeline as an example. This course builds upon the Introduction to the Yens workshop. So, if you are new to using the yens, please go through Getting Started course first.
